Elements and Performance Criteria
- Plan and prepare for milling operations
- Access, interpret and apply compliance documentation and legislation and ensure the work activity is compliant
- Obtain, confirm and apply work instructions for the allocated task
- Identify, manage and report all potential hazards
- Communicate emergency response and occupational health and safety requirements, including the possibility of wellbore influx and well control, to crew members
- Resolve and maintain coordination requirements with others at the site prior to commencing and during work activities
- Check, clean and lubricate equipment, including -top drive and swivel connections and rectify and report faults
- Check Bottom Hole Assembly (BHA) requirements and assembly
- Commence milling operations
- Check drilling program requirements to ensure safe operations
- Undertake milling operations in accordance with the well program
- Monitor, maintain and record milling parameters in line with program
- Calculate and maintain hole volume and conditions requirements and carry out and record integrity tests in line with milling program
- Maintain accurate tubular tallies
- Inspect and prepare tubing running tools and tubulars for operation
- Maintain milling operations
- Prepare hole for next stage of program
